Last week I chose to align with John Ross and again, I’m the loser. I thought he would have had the upper hand on Rebecca and maybe stumbled across her plan for Christopher. Should have gone with JR. Here’s your Dallas Recap for S1/E4:
John Ross meets with Rebecca to show her he’s got evidence showing she was the one that sent Elena the email. He has her be the person to set up Mitch’s son in order to continue the blackmail. Meanwhile, JR finds out Marta is really Veronica Martinez who has arrests for stalking ex boyfriends.
Elena shows Christopher the bids for the methane drill and both Rebecca and Tommy see an intimate moment between them. Bobby is putting off going through his family’s things to pack up in an effort to get the grounds and cattle ready for sale, which is irritating Ann.
JR shows up at Sue Ellen’s office and has another spat with Cliff. He’s upset that she is not showing him any attention. Cliff is giving Sue Ellen money for her Governorship campaign.
Elena asks John Ross for help to talk to Mrs. Henderson to ask to drill on her land. They share a moment on the farm that JR’s PI captures. He takes Elena home after meeting with Sue Ellen and then comes home to find Marta has broken in to his apartment. He forgot about their date and tells her he lost track of time at a bar.
Christopher opens up to Bobby with the truth about Elena and Rebecca. He admits he doesn’t think he can let Elena go. Rebecca meets with Mitch’s son, who is an AA sponsor. She puts on an act that she needs help with her drug abuse but doesn’t succeed getting the dirt on him that John Ross wants. Tommy finds out that Rebecca hasn’t copied Christopher’s patent information.
In trying to do the right thing, Christopher buys off Elena to keep her from coming back to claim ownership. Unfortunately he comes off looking like a jerk which may or may not be his intentions.
Before the last Southfork BBQ, John Ross texts Rebecca saying he’ll be there and she should have done what was asked of her. JR visits Marta and shows her the pictures of John Ross and Elena to make her jealous. She shows him the pictures of her and Mitch’s son in bed, the pictures Rebecca decided not to take. JR offers her a deal to partner with him and gain Southfork and the oil. JR takes the pictures to Mitch and wants the entire deal to go to him and not half to John Ross.
Rebecca pulls Christopher aside before John Ross can get to him and begins to tell him about the email to Elena.
