Christopher was the winner last week and I hope you were too! Here’s your Friday recap for S1/E5:
With the impending threat of John Ross, Rebecca takes Christopher aside and tells him her brother is the one to blame for the email and she didn’t know anything about it.
Christopher attacks Tommy and now everyone knows about the scam. Tommy is kicked off the ranch and Christopher never wants to see Rebecca again. Elena and John Ross make up, for the time being.
Mitch Lobell sends Bobby the deed to Southfork that has JR’s name on it. JR lies to Bobby about Marta selling the ranch to Cliff and tells Bobby he’s going to start drilling. Bobby declares a fight with JR to get the ranch back. Bobby and Christopher go to Lobell’s and finds he has skipped town. They talk to another lawyer and find out the truth. However, the sale to JR is legal. We learn a little about real estate law here which is cool if you’re like me and used to be a legal secretary!
Tommy convinces Rebecca to keep spying on Christopher to complete their plans. Elena confronts John Ross about the sale of Southfork to JR. John Ross is in disbelief that his dad changed the contract. As soon as Bobby and Christopher get back to the ranch, oil tankers start rolling into Southfork. Bobby wants to fight JR legally and Christopher wants to fight dirty. John Ross confronts Marta about the sale to JR.

JR tells John Ross he’s leaving town and leaving him in charge of things while he’s gone. Jock dropped him into the fire and now he’s doing the same to his boy. Marta leaves her and John Ross’ sex tape at his apartment where Christopher finds it. John Ross tells Bobby he’s now the Power of Attorney for JR. Rebecca meets with Ann to apologize and regain her trust. John Ross tells Elena he was not in cahoots with JR and tries to partner up with her again. A drunk Christopher goes to Elena’s house to give her the sex tape but decides against it.
Ann goes to her ex-husband who is the owner of the oil tankers now at Southfork. She asks him to cut the contract with JR. He agrees, but for what price? Elena tells John Ross that she won’t help him drill on Southfork because she doesn’t want to be in the middle of the war, but wants his help with her Henderson leases. They “shake” on it. Christopher shows John Ross the sex tapes to bribe him because John Ross says Marta’s real name, which could prove JR knew about the fraud.
