Do you ever think, “gee chocolate chip cookies (or any cookie for that matter) sound SO yummy!?” Then the next thought: “it’s going to take forever to make them all”
Here’s something that I decided to do with the last batch. It’s something my mom has done many times. And it sure saves LOTS of time.
(I am going to copy the Kitchen Aid Recipe, but I am certain you can just use a regular beater instead, so do what it says here with a normal beater if you do not own a kitchen-aid)
Place sugars, butter, eggs and vanilla in mixer bowl. Attach bowl and flat beater to the mixer. Turn to speed 2 and mix about 30 seconds. Stop and scrape bowl. Turn to speed 4 and beat about 30 seconds. Stop and scrape bowl.
Turn to stir speed (like 1). Gradually add baking soda, salt and flour to sugar mixture and mix about 2 minutes. Turn to speed 2 and mix about 30 seconds. Stop and scrape bowl. Add chocolate chips. Turn to stir speed and mix about 15 seconds.
Place all the mix into a 9×13 greased pan. Smooth it out. Cook for 20 to 25 min. I like mine soft, so I cooked them for 20 min. They are PERFECT! To me anyways.
If you don’t want bars, you can do this:
Drop rounded teaspoonfuls onto a greased baking sheet, about 2 inches apart. Bake for 10 to 12 min. Makes about 54 cookies
