Far warning, this post might get a little graphic
I wrote a year ago about Jeremiah interested in the potty, but then we never really pursued it. I am not one to completely force potty training, since he didn’t seem interested at all for the longest time. When we thought he would be, it turned out to be a fluke.
Well, lately we have been just asking him if he wants to sit on his toilet. Provided with a kindle and such. He hasn’t been interested until he spent the day with Nana recently.
Somehow she broke through. He WANTED to sit on his little toilet. He didn’t do anything but sit and play on the kindle, but wow progress!
The next day I asked him a few times if he wanted to sit on his toilet. I forgot to mention, if he chose to sit on it, he had to lose the diaper. So if he DID go, it would go in the toilet.
Anyways, he did sit on it. Soon, he walked out naked, and said as a matter of fact: “I poop mommy” “I poop mommy, all over floor”
Of course I try to maintain calmness. Because poop all over the floor, well that’s not fun. lol But then he’s 3, so who knows WHAT he REALLY means. 
When I walked into the room to see the damage, I saw one little poop IN his toilet and then two more on the floor. Thankfully this little guy has non-soft poop.
I explained that he did a wonderful thing, but lets try to keep it ALL in his toilet. He then said “I sorry bout that” So adorable. Course there really wasn’t anything to be sorry about, he didn’t know.
SO, looks like we might seriously be making progress with potty training.
I feel total excitement and dread all at the same time.
