Free tool to help with household chores

  • I was introduced to My Job Chart recently, and I have to say this is a really neat site! A truly wonderful tool to help with kids chores.

With technology booming more each year, this just fits with the times. I have to admit, I think it would have been fun as a child. :)

When you first sign up, you set up the emails you want to receive.  I notated that most of these would be immediate emails.  I must mention also, My Job Chart is completely FREE!

    A few examples:

    • When the child completes a chore
    • When a child purchases something

Next you add your family.  They each get their own password that you pick for them, or work with them to set up.

There are a list of jobs already in the system you can assign to any child you want, some examples are:

    • Brush your teeth
    • Get Dressed
    • Mow the lawn
    • Wash car
    • etc

You can also add in your own job titles, set the days each chore goes to,set them to morning or night, and even set it as a one time only chore. So the options are just about endless.  There is a printable option too, I liked that.

When your children want to use their points, they can use them on:

Spend - Can be anything from buying toys to just being rewarded TV time.  You can add custom rewards too.

Give to a charity - there are many options, also the option to put your own in.

Save - If you have a savings account set up for your child, you can attach it, or open one up with the options they have listed.

There is SO much to this site to customize chores for your family.  It’s also all very simply put together. :)

Check out this video that gives a little visual on some of the options and how it works.

So if you want a really neat tool to help with kids chores, try My Job Chart.
