  Ok, that's it.  We are doing it.  In just a few short days we are cutting the cable cord.  No more cable television for this family.  Going strictly for netflix and hulu.  We might get an hd antenna for fall football but haven't decided yet.  Have any of you cut the cable cord lately?

  I would love to cut the cable cord...but my husband would miss it too much! He works full-time outside of home and runs a business from home, so his TV time is his downtime after the kids go to bed and te work is done. And I couldn't imagine him without hockey LOL. On the other hand, I couldn't tell you the last time I sat down and just watched a TV show. Never happens anymore!

  We cancelled our cable a year ago this month. We use netflix, Hulu Plus, and Amazon. I think it is great because I never watched the shows live anyway. I was recording everything. For me Hulu works just like a DVR since I can subscribe to my favorite shows and they are dumped into my queue. My kids like streaming better because they watch shows they like when they want and without commericals. Only thing I do miss is Football. But we normally get together with family and have Football Sundays so I still get to watch my favorite teams.
