      1) When did you start blogging?

I started blogging in July 2010. I got married in June 2010 and for the year and a half prior to that I was so busy getting ready for the wedding that when it finally came I didn't know what to do. After doing some soul searching I decided to put my time and energy into a blog all about cooking, baking, and reading.

2) Why did you choose food to write about?

I love to bake and cook. It is a great stress reliever for me and over the past few years I've been trying more and more recipes. By keeping up with my food blog it almost guarantees that I will be making several new recipes a week. Each week is a new adventure and I've found several recipes I wonder how I ever lived without! I used to get bored eating the same meals over and over again but now we try new things each week!

3) Why are you passionate about food?

I'm passionate about food because it's something that everyone has to have so why not make it a fun adventure? I'm going to cook dinner everyday and it makes it so much more fun if I'm excited to try a new recipe!

4) What are your favorite recipes?

That's a tough question. Right now my favorite main dishes are Korean short ribs, Chili Lime Tofu, and Chicken enchiladas with green chili sauce. My favorite desserts are Vanilla Bean Cupcakes with Fresh Blackberry Frosting, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Brownies, and Thin Mint Truffles. I'm going to give you my favorite crock-pot recipes as well because I'm not sure I could live without my crock-pot! My crock-pot favorites are Spicy Pork Tinga Tacos, Coffee-Chipotle Pulled Pork, and Stuffed Pepper Soup.

5) What do you love about cooking?

I love how happy it makes people. Whenever I put a meal on the table for family and friends everyone is always smiling. After a good meal everyone is full and content. I take baked goods into work most weeks and my co-workers always come find me just to talk to me and thank me. It's a good feeling to put a smile on someone's face.

6) Who do you love to cook for most?

I enjoy cooking for my husband and my family. They are very appreciative but also honest about what they like and what they don't like. I like to get their opinions so that I can make improvements to recipes.

7) Do you have any advice for someone who wants to learn how to cook?

My advice is invest in a decent set of pans and a simple cookbook. Follow the first couple of recipes step by step and once you feel confident start by changing a seasoning and then maybe a vegetable. Soon enough you'll be creating your own dishes!
