|       | 1) When did you start blogging? I started Blogging in March of 2010 2) Why did you choose food to write about? That's kinda funny because the blog grew into something else I had not expected at all. It started when my four picky eaters demanded the same things left and right for dinner. It becomes tiring and boring, so I started a personal challenge to make a new recipe each and every day for an entire month. I asked friends and family to send recipes my way and each day would share them through Facebook. Once the month was up though, I didn't stop trying new recipes each day. It was way too much fun! There was also a major change in my kids, they were interested in new things. Not just interested in new recipes, but new foods. It really opened up a new world for them, and they get very exited when they find out dinner is something they haven't had before! 3) Why are you passionate about food? My favorite memories were always gathered around amazing food and amazing company growing up. It's always been a passion, but over the last ten years it's grown into much more. My Husband was diagnosed with Diabetes several years back which meant he needed to revamp his entire diet. I took two of my favorite things, gardening and cooking and smashed them together to keep our family healthy. Now that we have four kids it's an on going lesson to teach the kids how to eat. From growing the food, to how to prepare, they are building skills they'd need later in life. They are passionate and enjoy it just as I had as a kid. 4) What are your favorite recipes? You want me to narrow them down? That's a hard task right there, but I would say my most favorite recipes happen to be breads. 5) What do you love about cooking? I love to create. I have a creative side, I enjoy scrapbooking and card making and crafting projects. Cooking is crafting too! I also like knowing what is in our meals and that my family is eating well, and I enjoy the challenges I create for myself by tackling new cooking or baking projects. But I don't like to do the dishes!. 6) Who do you love to cook for most? My family of course! There is nothing that doesn't please me more than hearing silence at the dinner table. That means they are way to busy eating and enjoying the food rather than making a bunch of noise :) 7) Do you have any advice for someone who wants to learn how to cook? Have fun with it and don't fret the small mistakes. Just because you messed up a few times doesn't mean you won't ever be able to do it. Change it up, be adventurous and try something new and don't forget to Enjoy yourself! Please visit "My Side of Life" website for a collection of recipes that are both fun and challenging! |     |
